Profile & Challenge

Well Woven sought to evaluate the feasibility and value of leveraging a speech-based user interface, specifically Amazon Echo’s Alexa, in a warehouse environment for inventory management.

SOLUTION & OUTCOME

GAP rapidly developed and tested a proof of concept (POC) involving two primary Alexa interactions: inventory status and location of a SKU in the Well Woven warehouse. This implementation allowed users to interact with the inventory system using voice commands, improving operational efficiencies. The Alexa inventory support skills proof of concept was successfully implemented and performed as expected, paving the way for further exploration of voice-based interactions in operational processes.
