As that trusted partner, GAP’s solution was to deliver a detailed technology modernization roadmap and architecture that went into detail about which areas would be modernized versus a lift and shift approach. The roadmap also identified automation opportunities, specifically around cloud infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code (IaC); provided application modernization analysis; recommended architectures and processes; and included a robust disaster recovery plan, which satisfies both recovery time (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO). With regard to cloud strategy, GAP offered a streamlined plan that took advantage of the client’s commitment to AWS, suggesting the development of cloud-native, 12 factor apps, utilizing “as a service” offerings from AWS, where applicable, and migrating its on-premises software to the cloud over time.  

The client was satisfied not only with the deliverables and macro view outlook, but also how it helped reinforce and better articulate their vision, enabling the CTO to get vital buy-in from the board to invest in this transformation.
