Joyce leverages 30 years of software industry experience to lead double-digit growth and profitability at GAP while inspiring all those who work with her. One of Joyce’s guiding principles is that GAP doesn’t just build software to solve critical business problems; GAP helps its clients achieve their dreams. Previously, as CEO of venture-backed startup Pinion Software, Joyce raised $21 million, which funded the launch of several pioneering products in the security space. As a senior executive at publicly traded BMC Software, Joyce oversaw a $200-million division.

A sought-after speaker on leadership and women in business, Joyce is active with the Women Presidents’ Organization and Special Olympics; mentors women CEOs and first-time entrepreneurs; won the Executive Leadership award from the Greater Austin Chamber; and won the Profiles in Power award from the Austin Business Journal. She earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Texas A&M University, where she serves on the development council for the Mays Business School.

Paul takes his responsibility for GAP’s customer delivery — from concept and strategy through execution — very seriously. He supports GAP’s software life cycle processes and our work toward continuous improvement, consulting with clients on product strategy, requirements and architecture.

Before joining GAP, Paul served as product line director for BMC Software, and he led worldwide technical support and product development teams at Intergraph Corporation. During Paul’s 30 years in software development, he has spent more than half his career perfecting Agile software development with global, distributed teams.

Michelle manages the financial business support that enables GAP to experience continued growth. As a CPA with more than 22 years of experience in accounting and administrative management, Michelle manages all things financial, including forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and international operations. She has worked in a number of software startups in the Austin area.

As the Vice President of Talent Acquisition at GAP, Andres conveys a unique blend of leadership experience by spearheading talent acquisition and multicultural initiatives. He attracts and retains diverse teams by positioning GAP as the center of professional growth and innovation. Furthermore, his current goal is to enhance prospective candidates experience at GAP, addressing their needs at various stages in the recruiting pipeline.

Andres has more than 20 years of experience helping B2B and B2C companies and leaders improve conflict resolution, cross-cultural commercial and company-union negotiations. Leveraging his cross-cultural management background helping company leaders in North America, South America, Europe and Asia create a synergistic culture within their multicultural teams. With a Masters in Marketing from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Spain and his bachelor’s in International Business from Universidad EAFIT in Colombia, Andres utilizes his teachings to receive new information and adapt it culturally.

Andrea is zealous about contributing to business growth. During her 10 years at GAP, Andrea has seen it grow from 11 people to over 250 employees, extending its geographical footprint to more than six different locations in Costa Rica and Colombia.

Andrea is responsible for human resources, marketing, learning and development, finance and facilities for GAP operations in Latin America. With an MBA and psychology degree from the University of Costa Rica and Six Sigma Belt certification, Andrea looks forward to GAP’s future.

Rodolfo has been part of GAP since 2010, leading multiple teams in different technologies, taking several product architectures into production and, as CTO, he builds software engineering teams for our clients. His continued dedication guarantees the success of GAP and the technical excellence of its people.

Rodolfo worked as a lead lab assistant during his university years, later serving as a professor in Costa Rican universities. Rodolfo is a systems engineer with 20 years of programming experience, using Agile methodologies with remote teams. His specialties include Python, Java, AWS, Agile methodologies, databases, CI, TDD, as well as architecture definition and performance, technical coaching and development, technical sales and project setup.

Erika Carvajal is the Vice-President of Delivery at GAP. Her core mission is to ensure that each team delivers the value that GAP has committed to with its clients. In this sense, she and her team are focused on creating customers for life. Furthermore, Erika has helped to establish several Software Excellence Centers across all sites in Costa Rica and Colombia. Spreading an Agile mindset as part of GAP culture has always been a passion for Erika and the key to the success of our distributed workforce.

She is a software engineer with more than 10 years of experience in development and managing complex projects for a diverse clientele. Erika holds several certifications from recognized organizations such as the Scrum Alliance and she is also an active member of the local community.

A unique blend of technical competency and marketing savvy, Darryl enjoys linking multiple business disciplines for the business growth. At GAP, Darryl leads the teams that delight clients — champions the voice of the client and entertain employees.

As a former 2X CEO, Darryl is a seasoned software technology executive with more than 30 years of experience in both publicly and privately held companies offering enterprise analytics (SaaS / Cloud), mobility and consumer-based products. Darryl served as President / CEO of Perception Software (acquired by Altium in 2016), and held several sales, marketing and business development positions. Having attained a unique combination of industry knowledge in analytics, security, mobility and product life-cycle management, Darryl also applies strategic leadership and functional expertise in sales, business development, marketing and product management.
