This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) explains how Growth Acceleration Partners and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“GAP,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process information about you in the course of our business, including through websites that link to this Notice (such as www.growthaccelerationpartners.com and www.wearegap.com) (the “Sites”), our products and services (the “Service”), and through events, sales, and marketing activities. It also explains your privacy rights and choices.
1) Scope; About Our Service
We provide B2B technology services to our customers under agreements with them. This Notice does not apply to content that customers or their authorized users upload to our Service (“Customer Content”). When we process Customer Content, we act as a processor/service provider on behalf of that customer, and the customer’s privacy notice governs. Please direct any Customer Content requests (access, deletion, etc.) to the applicable customer.
2) Information We Collect
We may collect information about you in the following ways:
a) Information You Provide
- Contact and professional details (e.g., name, email address, phone number, job title, company) when you submit forms, download content, request information, or register for events.
- Communications and feedback you provide to us.
b) Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit the Sites or interact with our marketing, we and our partners may automatically collect certain information from your browser or device, which may be considered personal information. This includes IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, and approximate location inferred from IP. We collect this using cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies (see Section 4).
c) Information From Other Sources
- Third-party sources such as event partners, data enrichment providers, social networks (consistent with your settings), anti-fraud and security providers, distributors/referral partners, and publicly available sources.
3) How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Sites and Service.
- Provide and support the Service; respond to requests; deliver content and features you request.
- Analyze usage and performance; detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Personalize content and measure marketing effectiveness.
- Send administrative messages (e.g., confirmations, updates, security alerts) and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out at any time).
- Comply with legal obligations; enforce terms; protect our rights and the rights of others.
4) Cookies, Similar Technologies & Targeted Advertising
Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, pixels/tags, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Sites, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and—where permitted—deliver and measure advertising.
Categories we use include:
- Strictly necessary (site functionality and security)
- Functional (remembering preferences)
- Analytics (e.g., understanding visits and navigation)
- Advertising (e.g., measuring campaigns; cross-site advertising)
Your choices. You can manage non-essential cookies through our Cookie Preferences tool and your browser settings. If you block cookies, some features may not work.
Targeted advertising and “sale”/“sharing.” We may allow advertising and analytics partners to set cookies or collect information from your browser to help deliver ads that may be more relevant to you (often called “cross-context behavioral advertising”). Under California law, this may be considered “sharing” and, in some cases, a “sale” of personal information. See Section 10 for your opt-out rights, including the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link and support for Global Privacy Control (GPC).
5) How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share personal information as follows:
- Service providers that perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, security, marketing support, customer service).
- Affiliates, for purposes consistent with this Notice.
- Business partners (e.g., distributors/referral partners) involved in providing services to prospects or customers; if legally required, with your consent.
- Legal, security, and safety purposes (to comply with law or lawful requests; protect rights, property, and safety).
- Corporate transactions (e.g., merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets).
- De-identified/aggregated data that does not identify you.
6) Your Choices
- Marketing emails: You may opt out by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We may still send you non-marketing communications.
- Cookie preferences: Manage non-essential cookies via our Cookie Preferences tool (also accessible from the cookie banner and footer).
7) Data Security
We use reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system is 100% secure.
8) International Data Transfers
We may transfer, store, and process personal information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use lawful transfer mechanisms (e.g., standard contractual clauses) to protect personal information.
9) Data Retention
We retain personal information as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Notice, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or securely store the information until deletion is possible.
10) California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)
