About Daniel
Daniel Avalos is a Technology Manager at Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP), where he focuses on backend software development, technical architecture, and engineering career development. Based in Costa Rica, Daniel brings more than 18 years of experience in software development and technology leadership, spanning individual contributor, education, and management roles.
Daniel’s career at GAP is a model of internal growth. He joined the company as a .NET Web Developer and advanced progressively through roles including Senior Web Developer, Education Lead, Staff Software Engineer, and Technology Manager—a trajectory that reflects both technical depth and a genuine investment in the people around him. His time as Education Lead was particularly notable: he contributed directly to the professional development of engineers, a thread that continues in his current management work through mentorship and career guidance.
Before GAP, Daniel served as Chief Technology Officer at NRBK Studio, managing digital projects and technology infrastructure, and held a similar role at Ticompare, where he evaluated and managed technology platforms. Earlier in his career, he worked in project management at Jargon Studio and began as a Data Processing Programmer at Datascension.
Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Information Resources Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Engineering from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica.
