Whether Angela “Angie” Marchant is blasting down the wintry slopes of Colorado or coaching a team of girls, she applies the same skills: Perseverance, patience and an acute observation of the obvious—and not so obvious.
She does the same as vice president of sales at Austin-based Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP), where she believes answers to clients’ business challenges come through collaboration and communications. Shared by all GAP team members, the goal is to deliver applications that improve speed to market and quality without chaos, complexity or relentless costs. GAP ensures such an approach through its own nearshore software outsourcing business, which results in top-quality applications. The mission is always to exceed client expectations, solve real business problems and turn the unimaginable into the real and valuable.
Angie’s experience ranges from technology startups to Fortune 50 firms. She specializes in helping companies choose technology that positively impacts their bottom lines.
Before joining GAP:
- Angie served as global client executive for Dell Inc., where she led sales of IT infrastructure, cloud and application services for Fortune 50 companies.
- She also headed sales efforts at Mytech Corp, where she increased the firm’s revenue by 360 percent in two years and developed an international distributor program.
- At American 3CI, through M&A and restructuring, she drove revenue up 400 percent for this waste management company
- Angela launched her career at Frito-Lay Inc., where she rose to the position of regional manager of sales and operations and oversaw an $80 million territory.
Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in administration and management from the University of Texas at Arlington. In her free time, she enjoys active pursuits such as snow skiing, as well as coaching girls’ soccer and basketball teams. She also volunteers for Meals on Wheels Association of Austin.
