Paul balances pragmatism with structured process to improve product quality, reduce cycle time, and improve customer satisfaction.
Prior to joining GAP Paul was Product Line Director for BMC Software, an enterprise IT applications company. Paul’s Agile projects were identified as “best in class” by QSM Associates in an evaluation of over 7,500 Agile projects.
In parallel to the switch to Agile methods, Paul also improved Outsourcing processes with his teams around the world. Paul established the first offshore team for BMC in Pune, India in 2003. His process model and management practices became the standard used across BMC. Under Paul’s leadership, his teams achieved double digit revenue growth, increased efficiency, and the highest customer satisfaction ratings within BMC. Paul also established project management and reporting practices that became the foundation for the division Project Management Office. Paul is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Paul lives in scenic Cedar Creek, Texas and is active in the Austin community. Paul serves on the board of directors for two local non-profit organizations: College Forward, dedicated to helping high school students achieve a college degree, and The Next to New Shop, a charitable consignment shop celebrating its 50th year in Austin.
